Czech, Showalter Lead Braves Past Tom Sox

The Braves moved back into first place in the tight South Division with a 14-6 win over Charlottesville on Saturday.


It was a big night for Andrew Czech (Walsh) as he was 3-for-4, including a pair of three-run homers. Starting pitcher Justin Showalter (JMU) pitched six innings and allowed just one unearned run on six hits. He struck out seven and walked one.

Ron Brown (Houston) worked the final three innings for the save. He allowed one earned run on four hits.

Logan Worley (Young Harris) also had three hits for the Braves while Kent Rooklin (West Virginia Tech), Ryan McCarty (PSU-Abington), Duncan Pastore (Nova Southeastern), Eli Davis (Arkansas State) and Chet Moore (Miami) each added two base hits.
