GLENSIDE - Arcadia University baseball senior Alex Madera has been named a 2023 First Team Preseason All-American by D3baseball.com, as announced on Tuesday.

Madera was named All-Region IV by ABCA/Rawlings and D3baseball.com, the Middle Atlantic Conference Freedom (MAC Freedom) Player of the Year, and First Team All-MAC Freedom in 2022 after he batted .464 with a program-record 83 hits and 38 stolen bases with nine doubles, four triples, 31 RBI's, 62 runs scored, and 38 walks. Madera led the Knights to a MAC Freedom Championship and hosting berth in the NCAA Division III Regional, the first time the program has hosted a Regional.
Arcadia begins the 2023 season on February 23rd when it wecomes Ursinus College to Skip Wilson Field.
