BRAVES ADD THREE PLAYERS FROM SOUTH FLORIDA

The Staunton Braves have signed three players from the University of South Florida, including one of the top players in the Valley Baseball Leauge in 2009, sophomore first baseman Todd Brazeal.

Brazeal was voted the sixth best prospect in the VBL in 2009. The power-hitting Brazeal hit seven homers and finished second in the league with 38 RBIs in 2009.

Joining Brazeal in Staunton this summer will be redshirt freshman OF Sean Buckley and freshman RHP Austin Adams.

Buckley began the 2009 season with the Braves before finishing the year in the Cal Ripken Sr. League. Buckley is expected to see time in the outfield for the Bulls but could also play at the corner infield spots.

Adams was one of the top high school arms in Florida and could challenge for significant innings in his first season at USF.
