BRAVES SIGN TWO FROM TOP NAIA PROGRAM

The Staunton Braves have signed a pair of players from Savannah College of Art & Design – a Top 25 NAIA program.

Patrick Braswell, a junior middle infielder, is a career .390 hitter for the Bees. As a sophomore, he led SCAD in hitting with a .405 average and was an all-conference second baseman. Braswell was selected to play in The Sun Conference preseason all-star contest for the second straight year. The all-star game features the top junior and senior players from The Sun Conference. Coaches nominated players from their teams to participate. The game will be an opportunity for draft-eligible players to be seen by professional baseball scouts.

Brice Schlosser, a junior lefthanded pitcher was also join the Braves. Schlosser will be a weekend starter for the Bees and is slated to pitch the team’s season-opener at Point Loma Nazarene – the second-ranked team in the nation in the preseason NAIA rankings.
