BRAVES SIGN TWO PITCHERS FROM WILLIAM AND MARY

The Staunton Braves have added a pair of pitchers from William & Mary for the 2010 summer season.

Brett Goodloe, a freshman righthander, is a Staunton native and a product of St. Anne’s Belfield in Charlottesville where he developed into one of the top prep pitchers in the state. Goodloe During the fall season at William & Mary, Goodloe earned the fall Cy Young Award, pitching 19 innings and was 2-0 with a 1.92 ERA. Goodloe is expected to be in the starting rotation at W&M. 

Shain, a sophomore lefty, started nine games in his first year with the Tribe and is expected to be in the mix again for a spot in the starting rotation. He was 2-2 with an 8.22 ERA as a freshman. He pitched 46 innings in his first year with the Tribe.
