College Baseball Diary No. 7: Wrapping up the first full weekend of Division I baseball.
First we’ll look at how some future 2018 Braves played Sunday.
Chandler Robertson (UCF) was 1-for-2 with two walks and two RBIs in a one-run loss to Samford.
Jacob Haney (W&M) pitched four innings in his first career start against No. 12 Clemson. He allowed two runs on two hits, struck out four and walked three.
Steven Carpenter (VCU) was 1-for-3 with 3 runs scored in 14-10 loss in Game 1 of DH at Liberty.
Brett Willett (VCU) was 2-for-3 with oner RBI in the Game 1 loss to Liberty.
Sam Ryan (VCU) got the start in Game 2 and pitched 5 innings. He gave up 0 runs on 2 hits, 5 strikeouts, 5 walks.
Peyton Wigginton (Middle Tennessee) got the win in his first career start Sunday against Western Illinois. He gave up one run on six hits in six innings. 7 strikeouts, 3 walks.
Seth Hartings (UNC-Pembroke) was 1-for-3 with two RBIs in a 9-9 win over Augusta.

Adam Sisk (JMU) hit his first HR of the season in a 5-1 win over High Point.
Austin Edens (Samford) was 3-fo4-4 with an RBI in the win over UCF.
Eric Harp (Longwood) pitched one scoreless inning in a 3-0 loss at Auburn.
Jay Charleston (Tennessee) hit a HR in a 10-4 loss to Maryland in Game 1 of a DH. In Game 2 he was 2-for-4 with an RBI and two steals in a 13-6 win.
