Wood Paces Braves Past Jacks, 9-4

Max Wood (UCF) reached base six times, going 3-for-3 with three walks, three runs scored and a two-run homer to lead the Braves to a 9-4 win Friday night over Covington.

The win was the second straight for the Braves.

Payton Robertson (Lamar) was 2-for-4 with two runs scored and one RBI for the Braves.

Daniel Rivero (Miami) picked up the win on the mound. Rivero worked six innings, allowing six hits and three earned runs. He struck out seven and walked one.

Jordan Silverman (Rider) worked two innings and did not allow a hit.

Danny Devereux (Washington and Lee) worked the ninth, striking out one and allowing no hits.
