Povse Called Up To The Big Leagues

Former Staunton Braves pitcher Max Povse has been called up to the Major League by the Seattle Mariners.

Povse pitched for the Braves in 2013 when he was named the top prospect in the Valley Baseball League.

Povse was pitching for the AA Arkansas Travelers where he was 3-2 with a 3.46 ERA over nine appearances, including eight starts. The Mariners expect Povse to pitch in a long relief role.
