Pearson Drafted In Round 1; Seven Former Braves Picked Overall

The 2017 Major League Baseball draft is over and it was a big year for the Braves. Seven players were drafted – six in the first 19 rounds. The Braves had the only first-round pick among VBL teams and the most picks in the first 10 rounds with three. The seven overall picks were second most in the VBL ,just behind Front Royal with eight.
