Braves lose 3rd Straight One-Run Game

logoOne night after losing 5-4 at Purcellville, the Staunton Braves suffered their third straight one-run loss Thursday evening, falling to the Front Royal Cardinals 1-0 in 11 innings.

The Cards won on Martin Napleton’s walk-off homer in the 11th.

Staunton starter Thaddeus Ward turned in a strong performance, allowing just three hits in 6.1 innings. He struck out seven and walked three. Matt Clark added two stellar innings, allowing two hits while striking out four.
